The Santa Rosa farm was one of the first properties acquired by the brothers Flávio, Fabiano and Dorcino. It is located in the Zona da Mata, in the Caparaó National Park, precisely in the municipality of Luisburgo, in a region that stands out for producing Arabica coffee of the highest quality.
Today, the producers already stand out in the production of special Arabica coffee, achieving lots with up to 84/89 points. With a vast knowledge and experience, they are able to produce healthy and robust beans (sieves 17 and 18 are common) through careful cultivation and manual harvesting and post-harvesting.

Farmly is a company with an interesting model. Farmly facilitates trade between farmers and coffee roasters throughout Europe through a transparent model directed by the price the farmers set. Coffee roasters can make an offer on coffees and Farmly openly break down where the money goes - in the case of this lot of coffee €5.65/kg went to the farmer, €0.54/kg was paid on shipping, €0.26/kg on taxes, and Farmly were paid €1.13/kg. That clarity and transparency was an incredible deciding factor when it came to deciding to source coffee through Farmly and we chose two coffees for our first order through them. This is our second coffee sourced through farmly and offers a beautiful fruity counterpoint to our first.

Prices and units shown are presented without conversion in the currency and units presented to us, this generally indicates the currency and units the coffee was traded in.
FOB price is the price paid immediately prior to shipping, so tends to include local taxes, transportation, processing, etc
Farmgate price isn't always an accurate indicator of how much a farmer earns for their coffee, as different systems are used throughout the world to determine how much to pay the farmer. For example, in some origins the farmer is paid for the cherry, prior to processing; while other origins the farmer will be paid based on parchment.
Commodity price is based off the commodity price of coffee on the date of purchase.
And so we finally got to release the second coffee we got from Farmly this year! I was really looking forward to it as when we first cupped it I was very impressed with how sweet and clean it tasted. It has everything you’d expect from a great Brazilian - sweetness of ripe plums, silky smooth body and lots of milk chocolate in the finish. A perfect example of a classic coffee done very, very right!
